E-WDM
DRIVER AND DIRECTWIRE SUPPORT
AUDIOTRAK'S E-WDM DRIVER
Broad Compatibility, Access to Professional Audio Tools
Current software driver technology limits audio cards to processing only
the audio streams delivered from Microsoft's WDM driver to the audio
hardware. AUDIOTRAK's engineers developed E-WDM enhanced drivers that
break the boundaries of the Microsoft WDM kernel's processing limitations.
AUDIOTRAK's E-WDM drivers leverage the power of today's CPUs to apply
virtual sounds and effects in real time to audio streams – just like the
pros do it - within the E-WDM driver level. E-WDM drivers provide
Audiotrak's MAYA44 MKII card broad compatibility with professional quality
tools (WDM, ASIO 2.0, GSIF, and more) and the ability to exceed
professional latency levels.

AUDIOTRAK'S DIRECTWIRE FEATURE
Record Any Audio Source, Route Digital Audio Streams Without Wires
The PRODIGY 192 supports DirectWIRE function that is provided by E-WDM
supported products from AUDIOTRAK. This unique feature will simplify
hassles of wiring externally for Inter-driver/Inter-application audio data
transfers. For example, when you record sound sources from DVD to Cakewalk
Sonar(or any multi-track recording applications), you have to do
complicated external wiring, but by using DirectWIRE, you don¡¯t need
external cables at all. Also DirectWIRE digital processing can reduce loss
of sound quality or data. Using DirectWIRE, you can record any kind of
media (even if it¡¯s a copy protected media) to your computer. And when
you use software synthesizers, virtual instruments or DVD, DirectWIRE will
help you to simplify your setup.
